AKAI have announced the release of the MPC X and MPC Live.

As standalone MPC the MPC X boasts a multitouch display, 8 configurable CV/Gate outputs to integrate your modular setup, 16 Q-Link knobs with graphical displays and 2 MIDI inputs and 4 MIDI outputs. It also offers Phono, instrument, mic and line inputs.
The MPC Live is a portable MPC with an internal rechargeable battery in a more portable size though with a reduced feature set.
The AKAI composition software, MPC Software has also been updated to version 2.0.
